Traffic Engineering Implemented Due to Repair Work on Cakung Drain and Blencong Bridges

North Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency (Sudinhub) implements traffic engineering around Jalan Akses Marunda, Cilincing, due to repair work on Cakung Drain Bridge and Blencong Bridge from April 4 to June 9, 2021.

We urge road users to avoid roads around two bridges due to repair work

North Jakarta Sudinhub Head, Harlem Simanjuntak said, traffic engineering is implemented adjusted to bridge repair work time which is at 22:00-05:00.

"Traffic engineering is carried out at night thus it will not disrupt traffic flow. Although there are repair work on two bridges, but we will not close the road," he informed, Friday (4/2).

During implementation of traffic engineering, his side urged people to use alternative roads, namely Jl. Kebon Baru, Jl. Kebantenan, Jl. Pedongkelan, Jl. Sungai Landak, Jl. Akses Bawah Jembatan, Jl. Raya Gudang Peluru, Jl. Marunda Makmur, Jl. Banjir Kanal Timur and Jl. Babek TNI.

"Both two and four-wheeled vehicles that heading to Bekasi and Tanjung Priok are directed to use alternative routes to prevent congestion and traffic accident," he explained.

As many 6 personnel were deployed around bridge repair locations to direct vehicle users to take alternative routes. His side also installed banners to inform road users about bridge repair work.

"We urge road users to avoid roads around two bridges due to repair work. We hope they can follow predetermined traffic regulations and instructions from officers on the field while prioritizing their safety on the road," he closed.
